I was introduced to Brannon Hollingsworth, COO/CCO of Brainy Pixel, LLC after returning from a trip to the Holy Land in January 2023. From our first conversation, Brannon was praying for me to see God's will when considering them to help bring my children's book message to life. During our initial meeting, Brannon opened in prayer and he listened as I shared my dream of having my children's book made into animation. Brannon shared excitement for the project but never pressured me to make a decision. Instead, he educated me on the animation process, explaining the main differences between 2D and 3D animation and what to expect with character development, explaining elements of an animation script and the amount of illustration needed for every frame.
Working within my budget, Brainy Pixel exceeded my expectations, to render my first Gracie the Purple Chicken animation entitled, "Gracie Finds a Home" in 2D. The characters, colors, textures of each frame are truly amazing. Brannon even worked with me to record the voice over for "Gracie" and find the perfect melody for the background. I appreciate Brannon's communication throughout the project and prayerful decision-making along the way! Gracie's message, "I Am Loved," is a message for all ages. I will be working with Brainy Pixel to create Gracie's second animation, entitled Gracie's Dream-the story of how she got her purple feathers and her name. I was blessed to work directly with Michael Thoenes and other Brainy Pixel animators. From the onset of the consultation meeting to the final product I found them to be very professional, kind, reassuring, friendly, talented, and many other adjectives that are too numerous to mention. Michael showed me what kind of animation he suggested for my story and he kept true to his word. Weekly meetings and constant updates allowed me to watch the process slowly come to life, and what a life it came to be. The animation followed my screenplay perfectly. The style matched the music so well that it became quite a tear-jerker.
