Logline: Tenet, a fallen angel who cannot lie seeks to right an ancient wrong the only way he knows how: defending mankind from all the forces of reality that are arrayed against them. Now, outcast from Heaven and hated by Hell, this slightly insane and immortal being takes on enemies from all sides to protect mankind.
The Series: While the series promises evergreen longevity (there are currently over 6,000 years of outlined story), the initial run will be a 3 industry standard trade paperbacks (TPB), each 28 pages in length.
Nutshell: A Christian Hellboy meets X-Files, with a dash of The Dresden Files plus Dr. Strange.
Target Demographic: Older audiences who delight in stories of monsters, might, and magic. Fans of The Witcher, The Dresden Files, Sandman Slim, and The Secret Histories but who long for the light to win will love this series.
Tagline: And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. - John 8:32
Style: Dark and gritty, reminiscent of Hellboy, Tenet's Tales revels in a gloriously decadent art style set against the backdrop of the world as we know it, but provides glimpses beyond The Curtain into the realms of the supernatural. While not overly graphic, blood, monsters, and mayhem will frequently grace the pages of Tenet's Tales; which is definitely not your grand-dad's Christian comic!
Setting: As part of the Wyrdwar (the never-ending battle of good vs. evil), Tenet's Tales is set in our world, overlaid with the spiritual realm as referenced in Scripture. Angelic forces exist in all their known hierarchy (Dominions, Principalities, Thrones, Virtues, and Powers) - as do their fallen counterparts. Further, fallen who've decided to no longer follow Lucifer exist, giving rise to endless variations of supernatural nations and entities with ever-shifting views and alliances to one another. Tenet, being immortal, has stories to tell throughout all of history, from the days of the literal Fall of Man to the current day, both in our reality and in the Spiritual Realms Beyond. Needless to say, endless adventures await!
